Peace of Mind Without the Midnight Stress
If you’re a parent, you know the routine: checking your child’s glucose levels “just one more time” before bed, at midnight, maybe at 3 a.m. It’s endless.
With the Glucose Projector, you can see their levels without waking them up or reaching for your phone. No screens. No bright lights. No sneaking into their room. Just one glance, and you can go back to sleep knowing they’re okay.

My Story
Hello, My name is John. I am a Type 1 Diabetic who has been on a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) for years. I have always slept with a clock projector that displays the time on my ceiling above my bed so that I would know the time when I toss and turn. Due to my frequent hypoglycemia episodes, I have always been concerned about my nighttime lows. One morning I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and thought to myself, “I wish I could see my glucose reading on the ceiling along with the time!” That morning I mentioned the concept to my wife and began googling to purchase such an item, only to find that a glucose projector does not exist. Thus, my journey began to bring my idea to life to help me and all CGM users follow their glucose reading all night long with the ” Blink of an Eye!”
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You've Got Any Questions?
The Glucose Projector connects to your CGM data and projects your current glucose level, trend arrow, and time onto your ceiling or wall. It’s designed for quick, low-light visibility — no phones, no alarms, no waking up fully.
The Glucose Projector requires the Dexcom app (such as Dexcom G6 or G7) to
have sharing enabled with at least one follower connection for it to receive
real-time CGM data from Dexcom servers. This setup ensures consistent data
uploads, as the Dexcom app typically prioritizes real-time syncing when
followers are active. However, the Glucose Projector itself does not require
you to install or use the separate Dexcom Follow app on another device; the
follower can be any account (e.g., a family member's phone or even a secondary
account you create) that accepts the share invitation from the primary Dexcom
user.
Note that the Glucose Projector connects via
your Dexcom account credentials during setup on the setup page but the device
pulls data directly over Wi-Fi without ongoing cloud relay through the Follow
app. A phone running the Dexcom app must remain connected to the sensor for
data to flow to the servers, usually within 30 feet.
Key Requirements:
- LibreLink: This is the primary app needed
on the user's phone to connect to the FreeStyle Libre sensor and upload
glucose data to LibreView (Abbott's cloud service). The Glucose Projector pulls
data indirectly through this setup. - LibreLinkUp: The Glucose Projector
specifically requires at least one active LibreLinkUp connection (a
companion app for sharing data). It acts as the data source for the
Glucose Projector allowing it to display and alert on glucose readings
from the Libre system. The same phone can run both apps with the same
LibreView account.
How It Works:
- The LibreLink app reads data from
the sensor and uploads it to LibreView.
LibreLinkUp then shares that
data, which the Glucose Projector accesses over Wi-Fi to show real-time
readings and alerts.Yes. The Glucose Projector is compatible with Dexcom 6/7 and Libre 2Plus and 3 Plus. At the moment it does not connect to Eversense or Medtronic. WIFI must be 2.4 GHZ that shares data to your phone or device. It simply mirrors the numbers so you can see them instantly.
Absolutely. The Glucose Projector emits a soft, low-glow light designed not to disturb your sleep or strain your eyes. It runs silently and has a battery backup in case of brief power outages.
Yes, you must have 2.4 Ghz to login to the setup page.. The Glucose Projector works by syncing with your CGM-enabled device via Bluetooth. As long as your CGM is active and paired, you’re good to go.
Yes. The projection brightness can be customized so it’s clear but never disruptive.
Each Glucose Projector comes with the projector unit, power cable, quick-start guide.
No. The Glucose Projector is meant to complement your CGM by making your data easier to see, especially at night. You should still follow your usual monitoring routine.
